My Desk

I cut out a space under it now all I need to do is sand it.

Diving back into my craft I'm so pleased.

For the last few days or so I have been working on my desk. Losing beads left right and center. My girls have a love for crafts too. I think it's cause most of my beads are pretty. Here is a pic of my desk.
I love the new setup. I have had the desk itself for about 3 or so years now and it's been used for the computer the whole time. Now that it's moved elsewhere. Well not working proper really. I had no use for the desk. Till now that is. I even got lucky and turns out the locks that I thought never had a key had the key broke off inside one of the locks. Took the lock out and went to a key place close to where I live. They were able to get the key out and make a new one and it works. I'm so pleased. Oh and I got the desk and hutch free because the place that puts them together sells them. They couldn't sell the desk because well I didn't know at the time but I bet it was cause the key was lost or in this case broke. The hutch was thrown out too there was two and all in the boxes. We built up one of them after we got them and I put the other one away just in case I ever needed parts or another one. I'm happy I kept it now. Even tho it was a bugger to move cause it was such a heavy box. I just added a couple of 4x4 slabs of wood because the hutch is longer than the desk its self. Still a win win. I love that I can fold up the desktop now and lock it all up even the drawers when I am not working with it. I also love that my grand daughters little fingers can't get into my beads and findings. Finally a little security.

My moms recycled bracelet.

I should have taken a picture of the bracelet before I took it apart but I never thought about it. But the beads on it were gold rice pearls and 8 mm pearls with gold stretch cord. The cord was so old and the gold beads were all messed up. So I put the pearls on new stretch cord with pink bicones and seed beads and this is what I came up with.

I love beading so much and I try to watch as many beading tutorials as I can and have even thought of doing my own tutorials. Maybe someday I will I don't know. I have to say my favorite youtubers for jewelry are Tsummerlee, BeadsFriends, Beadifulnights, Offthebeadedpath,  Beading4perfectionists, AuntiesBeads and there are many more. Fireline cheaper really?

So I went to walmart today and while looking at fishing line. I found Fireline 125 yards and it was roughly  $22.00 great deal and cheaper then I normaly pay. 100 yards more then I usually get too. The whole time Im there looking Im thinking are you kidding me. They have it in Canadian tire too costs little more but not much so thats good. Only difference is Walmart didn't have it in black. I'v been beading for nearly 7 years now and have looked for it at both places and never seen it before. Im so :-) they have it. Maybe now I can bead more and be happy that I don't have to worry about using it as fast as I do. So when I get more money I am gonna get it in different sizes and colors. I love Canadian Tire and Walmart now. Now if only they would sell better beads or beads period. Well taa taa for now.
